Under the aegis of Noorul Islam Trust, Al-Azhar Group of institutions began its journey in the year 2002 at Thodupuzha, Idukki. Having become a Centre of excellence, the group now stands at 12 institutions providing quality education to over 6000 students from across Kerala. The group focuses on different sectors of education such as professional, technical, health, managerial, and various art programs.
The institute has been successfully imparting teacher training for aspiring students from all over the state, since its inception in 2006. The college, offering D.Ei.Ed is recognized by Govt. of Kerala and approved by NCTE.
