Bachelor of Science (BSc) Nursing is a professional nursing course which comes under the healthcare sector. The course duration of BSc. Nursing is usually for 4 years. The eligibility criteria for this course is one must complete SSLC, +2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology as mandatory subjects.  The main of BSc.Nursing course is to serve humanity through medical treatment along with the qualities of affection, care, and patience. The job scope for BSc.Nursing is evergreen because the world needs more nurses to assist the doctors to treat patients with care. Indian BSc.Nursing degree is widely accepted throughout the globe since this course teaches nursing science along with the essence of humanities.

Arts, Humanities, Commerce students can also study Nursing courses. Students who complete plus two in Arts, Humanities, and Commerce stream also will be able to join BSc.Nursing course. This has been suggested in the draft of the revised syllabus of BSc.Nursing issued by Indian Nursing Council. At present, only those who study Science stream with biology are allowed admission in the four year BSc.Nursing Course. The Nursing council recommended the change soon after it decided to stop the three years of General Nursing and Midwifery Course by 2021. According to the draft of the revised syllabus for 2020-21 academic year; those who study commerce, humanities and arts also can apply for the course.
