The Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant programme is a three-year undergraduate medical programme that prepares students for diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventative health care services in all medical specialties. This programme is for those who want to improve their skills and knowledge in order to give support to senior doctors and physicians.
Physician Assistants are highly trained healthcare professionals who work in hospitals and clinics. Physician assistants are academically prepared and clinic-trained to offer health care services under the supervision of a licensed physician.
This course focuses on an in-depth study on the treatment and prevention of numerous health-related disorders, as well as diagnosing and treating illnesses by recommending required tests and aiding in surgery. Students learn about evaluating and treating patients, providing counseling to patients and their families about the condition, and recommending appropriate therapies in this course. In a practical course, students learn how to use laboratory x-rays and execute all of the diagnostic procedures, such as collecting blood samples and analyzing a patient's ultra-sound.
To pursue this course, students must have completed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as obligatory courses from a recognized board with an aggregate of at least 55 percent.
